Possibility of a pair? Pics inside....

Just wondering what yall thought about the size of my ocellaris clowns. I am wanting to eventually breed them. Is there a good chance that they are still immature (small enough) enough to change sex if they need to? I am scared they could both be females. Could they still be juvies?

BTW, the smaller one (maybe .25" smaller or less) is the more aggressive one so far.

Here are some pics...

in the last pic, the one on top is a perc. they look good I would say you have a decent shot at it. I would remove the damsels though. you will see problems from them if you want a happy clown pair.

I disagree. I think they are both Occ's.

As for size. Hard to tell without something to compare them against.

look at the eye on the top fish. it doesnt have the black ring that is found in ocellaris. the other fish does have the ring.

While I do not claim to be an expert, I have had 6 pair of occ's and work with them everyday.

Neither of these fish have the telltale black around the middle stripe. At this age they should be showing lots of black if True Percs.

If I am wrong then I apologize. Just IMHO.

Not all percs have the telltale black around the middle stripe. Some actually can have less black than a normal ocellaris.

I would have to agree with stykthyn, but this is one that I would need to see in person to make a positive ID.

Im pretty sure they are both Occ's. Im not an ID expert either but both look like false percs to me. They are both about 2" in size so is there still a good chance for them to pair up and breed.

i also agree with stykthyn, only because of that eye... it may have been the angle or the flash but looks perc-ish to me..

Pretty sure its the angle. I will look at it more closely when I go back home (15 mins away from home at school). Even if they are diff, will they still breed? I doubt it but was just wondering.
