Possible Brain Crisis?

I was doing a water change tonight and decided to use a different tube 7/8" so I could really suck some Cr@p off the substrate. I caught the edge of my Green brain and tore it a little on the edge. I would say about a half inch tear.

Has anyone ever done this and if so do I just let it heal or is there something particular I should be doing besides the praying?

You might dip it in some coral bath to help the healing along. I don't know exactly what bath to use, but someone on here will.

Hi Jerry,

My daughter decided to clean the side of my glass about 1 year ago with my magnets. As I ran to stop her she dropped one of those big magnets onto my green brain. Cut a big gash in him and he shriveled down to nothing. He recovered quickly, a few days to a week and he was healthy as a horse. My experience is I wouldn't worry about it too much. I feel bad now because I really scolded my dayghter, I thought she had killed him, she cried herself to sleep. ;0( That was worse than the damage to the coral.

To be honest I also caught him with a siphon one day, but you didn't hear it from me. It didn't rip him but it made him VERY unhappy. He shriveled up for a day and then forgave me. I would say this is a very forgiving coral. I think you will be just fine. A coral dip (iodine?) might not be a bad idea, but we always have to weigh this type of stuff against the added stress.
