The waterproof rubber molded-plug connectors from my ballast to my PC bulbs has failed due to heat/time. I have cut them off and would like to use these:

Can I attach these directly to wood with screws, or is it more difficult than that? I beep tested the old wiring and socket with my multi-meter so I know how to wire them up to my ballast cords, I'm just worried about mechanical attachment. Thanks for any help.
(BTW, before anyone says "upgrade", this is for a freshwater planted tank and PC is more than enough light
