Powerful pump for a small tank

Is there one powerful pump that you make that would do a great job for a 20 gallon tank? I was thinking that 25x30 times the turnover would be perfect for my 20g sps tank.
I was looking at a Tunze Turbelle Electronic Pump Kit 7410/2 and wanted to know if you think it would do the trick. It is adjustabel and that is very good. It is 3.9 x 3.5 inches big right? Also can I ask if it has only linear flow or does it puls and be directed all over? If you don't have the time to answer my question can you point me to a website that will?
Thank you, James

It pulses but honestly the 7400/2 is too much. Get the 7200/2 and a single controller (formerly 7210/2) www.tunze.com explains all these and I can also email you manuals- I don't mind answering the questions- better to help you now than have you dissappointed with a bad purchase.

Thank you Rcitko! That one sounds better. If it is not to much trouble please email me the manual for the 7200/2 :D

Roger,

I have a 30g SPS cube tank (20"x18"x20") with a MJ600 in each back corner on a wavestrip.

What could the 7200/2 with the controller do that the MJ's along with the wavestrip can't do? Is it a worthwhile upgrade considering ?

Well, the maxijets don't put out the same volume. Further the outputs are very small and focused- just 1/2" The Tunze pump has a 1" outlet. This moves a much broader cross section of water and with less force in a given area. The pulsing action of switching back and forth between 30% power and 100% power every few seconds creates a better wave action than a simple on and off action.

If I were to ditch the wavestrip and the two MJ600's in each back corner shooting towards the opposite front corner, what would you recommend then?

I'm running an Aquaclear300 and a Remora on the back of the tank so only the sides of the tank and rear corners are an option for placement.

You could ditch everything except the remora because you can run a micron cartridge and a carbon cartridge as optional accesories on the 7200/2.

Really?

Do you have link of what that looks like? Where does the carbon go on the 7200/2? In the tank, or external like the AquaClear?

If you go to www.tunze.com, click on the US flag, click on Turbelle Powerheads, then find the filter accesories by scrolling down and click on that you will see all the options. They all go in tank with a cartridge that goes in place of the strainer. Figuring these are more spot cleaning methods (run carbon a few days every couple weeks or run a micron cartridge after cleaning it is fairly simple they just plug unto the bottom of the pump.)
