powerhead micro bubbles???

think my powerheads are causeing micro bubbles how can i stop this????

Powerheads don't create microbubbles from water. They must get the air from somewhere.

this might happen if it is brand new or if it is sucking water from the surfafce of your tank.

thanks. they are both submerged completely. i shut them off yesterday and it cut the amount of bubbles in the tank by more than 1/2.??????

Put the power head deeper into the tank. They must be pulling air from the surface.

...Or they are just spraying bubbles from another source (maybe skimmer?).

skimmer is only about 5 days old . i had bubbles bad before skimmer and i added a filter sock then they dropped but im still getting more then id like.

Give the skimmer some time to break in. Mine is only 1 day old and on day 2 the bubbles that it put out into the return area were almost cut in half. Sometimes it could take a coulple of weeks for the bubbles to be eliminated.
