Problem with skimmer

I bought a CORALIFE super skimmer for up to 65 gallons.

the problem is that it is NOT stopping micro-bubbles from entering the tank, i have no idea what the problem is, does anybody know if there is something i can buy to add on to this thing to stop it from ahppening?

My CSS came with a box looking thing that your output hose goes into. Check and make sure you have the white filter pad on the bottom and the black one on the top. Just barely insert the hose into the opening of the black sponge. This along with adjusting your flow should help. As far as what you could buy for it, I don't know. My defuser box (or whatever it is called) works fine for me.

I know the skimmer needs time to be broken in. Have you done this? Are you using the bubble defuser? Also if you have nothing in the tank there really isn't anything to skim so you might have to just wait awhile.

so you put the flex hose barely in the box huh? i guess i'll try that,

hopefully it's either that or just that it still needs to be broken in, i thought i had it running long enough, we'll see i guess

Yes, just insert the outlet hose about an inch. Hopefully that will take care of it for you.

i had that problem and i couldnt get it to quit no matter what i did so i went and bought the stuff thats white on 1 side and blue on the other its like a filter to put in a H.O.T. magnam and i cut it down to size took out the black thing and shoved that in the diffuser and never had a problem since
