As the title says. Has anybody had any problems with any of the Genicanthus species of Angels in their reef tanks? Corals, Clams, Inverts, etc.

Please provide specific species, size and what it bothered or if it was fine. Also, how long have you had it in their.

Thanks.

They will occasionally pick at corals, benthos, etc. However, they are largely planktivorous, so a bit less of a threat. The species in question is Genicanthus melanospilos.

I have a female swallowtail angel (Genicanthus melanospilus) and she has never picked on anything. She will eat the frozen clams I feed my copperband butterfly, but she's never touched a coral. I don't have any live clams in my tank, so i don't know how she'd react to them.
