Here it is now and I am just now starting to see some growth.I hope to see it turn more blue like the one on his web site.I have been happy with it.I think that they are rare because I don't see them anywhere for sale but from Diamondsinthereef. Clint said it was rare but what do I know I live in Texas and everything I see is rare.Does anyone else have one or seen one?I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Looks like it's recovering fine.

I have a dumb question. Is this an Acanthastrea echinata or is this some type of a chalice? It looks similar to my A. echinata. Excuse the colouring, it's quite close to that but I tried to compensate for the actinic lighting I had on at the time with Photoshop CS2 and it didn't turn out right. It's more green along the growth edge and less blue in the center.

Cheers!

Here it was when I first got it. It's colours have filled in quite nicely now! more blue in the middle and the green has moved out to the growth edge. The orange is truly radiant now!

All I know it's call pumpkin patch and I would like to know what it really is also.Is it like a chalice or something.By the way Scythanith
that picture really pops and is fine. You mind me asking where you got it?

I bought it from the LFS, Bayside Corals. I think they look quite similar, that's why I slapped the pic up.

I think A. rotundoflora looks like this:

But then I'm not sure which is A. mammiformis...HAAHAA.

I could be totally wrong, I hope someone that knows checks this out.

Rotundo's, what you think looks like one are two different echinata morphs or possibly subechinata depending on the skeleton:)
