I stopped into the Puppy Center to pick up some salt and had my camera with me. I thought I would share some of my pics with you.

That purple monti is awesome, I saw that the other day while I was there, but it was on hold for someone. I hope someone from the club gets it so frags will eventually be available.

Does someone have the address for the Puppy Center. I live in Western MA. and was wondering if it's worth the trip. I currently travel over 2 hrs to go to Fin and Feathers.

New Britain Avenue in West Hartford. PC is good, but not as good as F&F.

Mike

F&F is good for aquacultured zoos and rare Clavularia. IMO, the PC is better for aquacultured SPS. Their coral section keeps expanding.

IMO, it's not worth driving down to the shoreline when you could go to the PC in beautiful Elmwood Connecticut in half the time. :D

man, i cant wait until my powerheads arrive so i can use my wavemaker and have better flow so my sps do a lot better.

My comment about "half the driving time" was referring to reefrick living in Mass.

If I lived 10 minutes from F&F I'd be there every day:D

i just got a cream colored finger leather with green tips and a chunk of blue zoos with some orange and gold ones mixed in there. my roommate got some CRAZY green leather (i've never seen a leather that bright green) and the other thing of blue zoos. i really love going in there and looking (usually buying) at corals. Joe and Ron are good people.

My2Girls,

Unfortunately almost all of my overtime dough goes to John at F&F. Now that the tank is up and running, the wife has no problem spending it on SPS colonies.

Maybe your wife should talk to my wife. :D

MY2GIRLS, Sorry to go off subject but I was curious on what kind of ballast you have in you aquactinics fixture if your running Reeflux bulbs. I to have the fixture but was told by coralvue that the reeflux bulbs don't work as good as they could on the standard magnetic ballast. Did you get the upgrade ballast like icecap? I bought the 10K reeflux and the magnetic ballast drove them very yellow. How are the 12K's and what are they doing to the colors in your tank? Any help would be great and I would love to see an acurate full shot of your reef if you can, Thanks so much!!!

Hey Lionfan,

I will work on that full shot for you. The ballast is standard magnet. The 12Ks look great on them IMO. Also IMO, 10K will always have a little yellow, just to what extent.

Here is round 2 of Pupper Center pics:

They just got in some nice ORA frags. Chip's Acropora, Scripp's Acropora, Indo purple tip Acropora, Green P. damicornis, just to name a few.

Also some new Montiporas- purple digi, orange digi, purple rimmed green capricornis, and ORA purple capricornis.

And of course more ORA clams.

my2girls, D Do you have ballpark figure how much they wanted for the beautiful pink polyp colony ( 4th pic from top of 1st set) ? I hope you can show us an acurate shot of display with the 12K's. looking forward to it. Thanks
