Purple reef lobster......reef safe??

I saw a little purple reef lobster at a LFS, would look nice in my nano..........

Anyone have experience with them??

I think lobsters will go after your fish... not sure though.

They're safe but very cryptic. Not likely to see it often in your tank.

Well if I get it , it will be the only thing in the nano with the corals. What will have a higher bio the lobster or a dottyback????

Lobster is about 2 " and the dottyback 1.5" ............ I will only have one in the nano

the lobster usually goes after fish that are sick or dying. I had a red one before and it never bothered anything. However, it never came out either, stayed in a cave majority of the time.

Its coral safe but I personally think it is not fish safe. I added one on a 20 gallon reef with a bunch of small fish that were in there at least 4 months. The fish started to vanish one at a time. I never saw a dead fish. I had to tear down the tank to get the lobster out. No problems with disappearing fish after I removed it.

Just feed it a damsel on a stick once a week, and he'll be full enough to not bother any other fish.

Though Dottybacks can be mean, you should get the fish and the lobster and feed neither and see who wins.
