QT ammonia testing

We have our fish over in our QT for ich treatment. We have been using cupramine to treat. We just did a ammonia test on the QT water and it it turned really quickly to a green color (test kit is a aquarium phamaceuticals). Will the cupramine effect the testing.. if so how do you test for ammonia etc with treatments like cupramine in the tank as well?

I didn't think that cupramine affected ammonia test kits, but it might. I think you should try in the chemistry forum. What brand of test kit do you have? Salifert and some other vendors have forums here on RC, and they could probably help you, too.
