qt tank question

i may or may not have red bugs, still trying to figure out if they are small red flat worms or red bugs. all 20 of my acros are still small and on plugs. can i make a qt tank still connected to my system with a UV sterilizer on the incomming water to kill any red bugs comming in from the main tank? i would drip all my corals and them move them to the qt for 6 to 7 weeks. would this work or does the qt have to be seperate

Red bugs will not pass through the UV... not many will be free floating. Your better off dosing interceptor.
