QTing new shroom

I just got a rock today with about 10 small rics on it. It's in a 10 gal qt tank right now. Is there anything you guys and gals do to your new rocks or shrooms while in qt. Is there a dip I should use? Thanks I didn't know what was safe for mushrooms.

do not dip unless you want to do a high salinity/iodine dip to flush out critters. If they are Yuma ricordias then I would let it be, as wild colonies get stressed pretty easily. good luck

Thats an understatement. They cant take much of nothin at all, They are super sensative.



I dip all my softies in seachem coral disinfectant and tank water, its basically some form of iodine. HTH

I would examine the shroom very carefully and if you dont see anything on it and are afraid to do much to it you dont have to

a dip in TMPCC or freshwater or both would probably work as well but yes be careful ont he yumas
