Quality Aqua?

I haven't been to Quality Aqua in while but decided to stop by today and found out they are no longer there. Did they move again or did they close for good?

I must have missed this post. Drove by today after visiting Sharon, and was surprised to see the space empty. Their website points to a number that has been disconnected. Sad to see another store go..... it's a hard business.

Was too bad they couldn't make it work on the retail side. Yale is still doing maintenance, he does a great job on my tank!!! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for maintenance.

Seemed to me that too many of us reefers weren't willing to drive the extra 10 minutes south to visit their new location. Kind of sad when you think about it!! Would have been able to visit Neptunes and see that they are the most overpriced store in the country.

Sucks to see another LFS close! Yale and Jeff were both good guys. I'm glad to hear their maintenance business is still going strong.

I work 5 minutes from their last location on Broadway and County Line and often tried to kick them my business but they were never open. They would have gotten a few hundred extra dollars out of me last year if they would have been able to run standard &/or predictable business hours.

+1 I went by there at least a dozen times and never even saw the inside of the store, I am down there pretty often.

Indeed, I had just come from Neptune's, one of the longest lasting, most stable stores in the metro area. Maybe there is something to be said for being open when folks stop by AND being profitable so one can stay in business?

I am glad to hear that Jeff and Yale still have their maintenance business, though folks looking for them would find it difficult to track them down using their website, as it stands today.

Well QA had normal business hours when they first open at their new location for approx 6 months, then Yale had to go back to work since their business was so slow. That's when the random hours started and it was all down hill from their IMO.

There is no question Sharon is overpriced but when one considers the knowledge, inventory, consistent hours and the value of quarantined fish, it is nice to have someone in business like that down south. She may not get my regular biz (Aquamart) but for killing a half an hour, perhaps finding something unique or a fast convenience buy of food or a test kit, she has always been there and she will continue get some of my $ so she can stay is business!
As for Quality Aqua, I finally got there when the doors were open one day and was extremely unimpressed with the inventory and no one even said 'hi'. I simply never went back.

I attempted to shop at Quality Aqua a couple of times, not much service, and that was at the OLD store. I gave up on him and Ki gets my business.
