Quality LED's

what about the HLG-185-54? also does the 48 do 3 watt bulbs or 1 watt?

You could use the 54V, I don't see any issue with that. You should be able to run either 1W or 3W, but I don't think you can run them in the same string, due to current draw, but I could be mistaken.

Hey guys!

Yep...no fuses here. If one of my LED's go out it kills power to the entire string, I can then replace or most likely rewire the LED. Parrallel strings seem interesting, especially in huge arrays.

Sounds good enough for me, what info do you need to order? I need 240 myself...

All you have to is contact aquastyleonline.com and they will give you a great price....I got my entire setup from them and it is awesome..you can see it and pics under the lights on the Tampa section of reef central. Just search my recent posts....I am very happy with the bridgelux and they are identical to crees. If you need heatsink and all let them know that and they will set up a package deal....I received mine in 6 days...if you guys have any questions let me know....they already said $1.20 each per led for 500 or more so if u want that price need to get the group buy together...

Jack and I are trying to figure it out and will post once we do. Please let us know what you are looking to get and if you have money in hand ready to buy stuff.
we are trying to decide which ballast we can get to run the most led's at the cheapest price and still have all the options like being dimmable.
also we are looking at doing a group buy of 500 led's to start and have to contact that company about getting them. he know how many he needs but i am trying to figure out what the ballast will cost and how many the ballast will run. so if i can get it cheap enough i may go crazy with the amount of led's i put over my tank.

I am going to have to sit my brother down when he has time, but for now if anyone can explain about these ballast and which would be good and way about these drivers?

there are the 185 and the 240v but then some have different voltage when you click to look at the spec sheet

i just dont know enough about these.

Well I rather charge it to my credit card. I'm getting either 256 LEDs (16 LEDs by 16 LEDs) or 384 LEDs (24 LEDs by 16 LEDs). I'm still debating on the amount also. If the total price for the cash items are below 500, I can do that. Anything more than 500, I have to see what dent it will put in my savings.
