question about berlin turbo skimmers

i was comparing them, and theres not much difference in this skimmer except for the needle wheel to produce mor bubbles....now i have upgrated mine, i put different wheel in mine cost 17 bucks at pets n you, then fred came over and added valves to it, opened the air valves and now it produces the nastiest looking foam, the smelliest lookin foam, and now im wondering if its still not as good as that asm? and now i must clean my skimmer everyday, its crazy amount of dirt.... why i need an asm compared to this berlin im using? any good info on the asm, cost the same as this berlin i have...
ok, i have been doin some research on skimming, and com e to conclude my skimmer is kickin some serioous a**...i appearently am runnin both dry/wet skimming, and i throw out thick foamy excess watery waste everyday from both my collections cups...its nasty stuff...bet i could use it as shaving cream...and im running 300 gph through the thing so now my question would be, am i removing too much?
