Okay...yes, I'm a victim of the "Rio pumps clogged again" syndrome. Man, it's annoying. Until I joined this Board, I didn't know they had such bad reputation of clogging. Trust me...they do.
I have a Rio HF10 as a sump pump, and I want to replace it. I hear Mag Drive is a common brand for you folks. The question I have is how you connector your return hose to the pump. I notice that the outlet on the pump is threaded. Do you connector your hose directly to that or do you have a threaded adapter that connects to the pump and the return hose.
Also, I'd like to use a 3/4" return hose, but both the Mag 3 and 5 say it's a 1/2" fitting on the outlet. Is that the thread size for an adapter that can then connect to a 3/4" return hose. Looking inside the box for these pumps, there's no accessories.
To keep it simple, how do you connector to your Mag 3 or 5 pump, and can I keep a 3/4" return hose?
