I believe Dr Caldwell once mentioned Gonodactylus chiragra as being one of the strongest smashing stomatopods for its size. A 9 cm specimen of mine once cracked a solid cover of plastic with one hit.

And what is the strongest smasher and spearer for their size?
The largest smasher species is Hemisquilla ensigera. However, its dactyls are not inflated at the base, so an 18 cm Odontodactylus scyllarus is probably as big a smasher as you are going to find.
The largest spearer is Lysiosquillina maculata. Some Harpiosquilla also get quite large. I would not want to be impaled by either.
Gonodactylus chiragra are really powerful for their size.
