quick ? about gfo

A dual reactor saves on space and use of resources (i.e using one pump instead of one) It also has its cons though. You should start on GFO as soon as phosphates and nitrates reach undesirable levels. Granted you can do other things as well, but GFO is a good alternative.

Good luck with things

+1, the dual reactor saves space and and ony requires one pump, but since the GFO needs to tumble/boil and the carbon should not tumble, adjustment can be a little tricky with a dual system.

I would get individual reactors, you must change out carbon every two weeks, and GFO can last for a month, so if they are both in one reactor, even with a separator, the removal of just one media can become quite tedious.
