Quick Interceptor question before treatment

Guys tonite I am treating my system. I plan on treating before I go to work. By the time I get off 10-12 hours would have passed. My question is when I do my water change and I put fresh carbon back into the reactor, when do I add my crabs back to the tank? Also if I treat for a 2nd time since my carbon will somewhat still be freah from a week ago, do I put new carbon after the 2nd treatment? Thanks

I didnt change my water for a week after the first treatment. If your carbon is fresh you should be ok re using it. I prob shoud have treated twice but in my case once turned out to be enough. You should be ok to throw shrimp in after the water change following the final treatment. Dont forget to disconnect the airline to your skimmer and leave it running. Good Luck! I would leave the crab out seeing how you will just be treating again and will have to remove them. It a good idea to run fresh carbon.

Agree with Dejavu...leave the crabs out until you are done with all treatments. I have treated my tank a couple of times and never had any problems with just leaving the carbon and changing at my usual time. I waited on my water change as well. I turned my skimmer back on after about 12 hrs and did my water change a week later. I figured the longer there was interceptor in the water column, the better it would work...there are no adverse effects on the corals or fish.
