I have an Acrylic tank that I think is going to break. I need to replace it. It bows out and one day it's going to go. My question is this, if I were to just get some poly rubbermaid tanks would my coral be able to live, if I just swapped the tank and transfered everything into the rubbermaids. They would all be pumped the same etc. Please help..thanks...

how much is it bowing? I have never owned one so I can't say for sure but I believe all acrylic tanks bow. As long as it isn't excessive it shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully someone with more experience with them will chime in.

I guess the question is, say you have a tank and it breaks. Then you have a huge bioload that goes along with that tank that you don't want to die. What if you just put everything inside a rubbermaid tank with the sand and movement the same, will everything be fine? The acrylic tank is gone...it's looking really bad..PLEASE HELP..

If you are going to set up a new tank and they are only in there for a short time say no more the two days they will be fine. All things being equal. They are going to retract and close up but once you get them back they way they were they should be fine. HTH

they are not going to be in there for only a few days. I am going to have the rubbermaid tanks set up like an aquarium until I find a new tank, even when I find a new tank that one is going to have the same problem.

What I am asking is could you move your stuff from one tank to the other. So take the display that breaks equipment and life and move it to another display that has never been set up.
