It measures the ORP of you water.
The probe results are often used to turn on an Ozone system if ORP gets too low.
However Ozone seems to be a very touchy subject lately.
So say it's needed, some swear by it, some say if you can smell it then you are shortening you life span.
Who knows, but it will raise the ORP of your water
