Randy Help rising DKH and ALK

Been tracking water qualtiy for about 4 days now and these are my readings

PH 7.9
CA 593.00ppm
alk 4.0
SG 1.023
Temp 76.4
31 Sal
DKH 11.5

DKH and ALK have been raising last several days I am using limewater/RO water wo top off
daily evap.....lowered CA reactor output....

PH at end of day has been between 8.06 and 8.18

any suggestions

How much lime in the limewater?

How much volume per day? Is that all evaporated water?

That is 4 dKH, not 4 meq/L, right? If so, you need to increase the limewater,or increase the CaCO3/CO2 reactor with more CO2.

This is DKH yes....top off water was limed with 1 teaspoon per gallon RO water...it was inland sea's Kalkwasser mix.....and ALK was 4.00....

I'd raise the lime to 2 teaspoons per gallon and see what that does. If not enough alkalinity is present after a few days, crank up the reactor.

I think he was giving two alk measurements in his original post. (4meq/L, and 11.5 dKH).

I'm a little confused here. Alk and DKH are the same thing. If your DKH is 11.5 like you posted then that means your Alk is about 4 meg/l which would mean you are within range of what alk should be. Or did I miss something here.

Oh, yes you guys must be correct. It looks like 4 meq/L = 11 dKH is the alkalinity, and is just fine. I'd keep doing just what you are doing.
