RAREst fish in your sps tank

Project,

The mod was on top of his game...pulled my stuff two minutes after I posted! I suppose I can post a pic of the fish here, as I would not be trying to sell it in this forum

I would totally pick up an armitage angel for the right price...just looks too much like a flagfin for the money!

This might sound a bit stupid...but the fish in the middle...is that a sixline...b/c it looks insanely bright!! And if so...it seals the deal on me getting on for my tank!

Not a rare fish, but as stated most folks don't keep imperators in their reef tanks.
They are well behaved reef citizens as long as you get them young.

Any idea what kind of wrasse this is? I have the same one and still haven't been able to identify it correctly.

It's a multicolor Lubbock's wrasse. There are many different morphs of this fish but I'm about 99.9% sure of my ID.

Bryan, you picked a great thread to start...you need to show us some of your rare fish bro...and by the way you are right about the PEPPERMINT angels and same goes with the JOCULATOR... they are not bieng decompressed right. I remember when we use to go rare fish hunting. LMK when you want to hook up...its been a while

Hi folks,

I almost missed that one .. why is it not in the reef fish area ???

Anyway. If one finds C.resplendens I want six pieces too!! You guys think they are rare ??? Have a look at this : http://www.sakitama.or.jp/crown/ click on special collection an view first pic in second row - hard to believe isnt it !!!!

And as we are talking about the Bodianus opercularis .. which on the pic I think is a mascudai btw and no opercularis... has one seen the Bodianus sp as discribed here : http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/apr2002/Fish.htm

I sah them now twice and just both exakt the same fish as shown as Bodians sp.

Hi Guys,
This is the best thread I've seen for long time

You guys passed the pic of Coralite , like if it waz a pic of bunch of guppies.
WOOW man, where's this pic from?
Armitagei, 2XConspic, 2XGem Tangs, Goldflake....he misses a Clarion to make it the mother of all tanks!!!

Peter, for the pics Terra posted, this is the opercularis and not the massudai.
The colors of the opercularis are brighter and the white stripe are much narrower.
I bought my opercularis in Hong Kong, out of a Mauritius shipment.

The Japanese web site you gave is insane, I heard alot about those special colors Queen Angels, I also heard that there's nothing much left in the wild, 10 years ago, you could find some crazy varieties (Koi look) and now it's all like in the pics.
ALL are going to the Japanese market.

So, anybody saw a nahackyi???....with the positive feedback of moonpod and PR I might settle on a couple of multicolors.

Peter, great links!!! Wow!! those are some nice fish!! I browsed around the website and found this one.. what is it? ?I like it!!

That is a very cool fish whatever it is. Do you all know when Scott Michael is going to come out with vol 2 of Reef Fishes?
