RAREst fish in your sps tank

I can't seem to get these guys on the phone. Have you bought from them before? Is this your LFS?

E-mail them, they have been responsive for me in the 2 times I've sent mail. Never bought so I can't tell you how they are there.

They prefer to handle things via e-mail. I've considered buying from them before but never got any response via phone. If they never responded to you via phone when buying, just imagine what kind of response you'll get if you have problems.

Excellent point!

I got a great, healthy Black and Chevron from them. The Black was a little Ichy when she came in but, is alive and doing well one year later...Good size too. Never had a problem with reaching them. Talked via email and phone....

I just received an email from a self proclaimed fish expert here on RC. He indicated that my previous post of Liopropoma Multilineatum was a hoax and I used a stock photo from a Japanese shop. Well Mr. Expert, here is a picture showing BOTH liopropomas. Enjoy

Reefscapes,

do you have a pic where I can see both (or two pics of course) fish from the side? I keep L.swalesi, rubre and carmabi in pairs and none of them seems to be territorial at all. I have each species in a separate tank.

Comparing your two fish with my pairs (male always much thinner and smaller) I have the felling yours are both females.

Peter,

Do you have photo(s) of your L. carmabi? I could not find any on your website. I have a swalesi, and would love to get a carmabi some day.

Peter,

I'll try to take a picture this eveing. It wasn't sold to me as a pair so I tend to agree with your assumption that they may be both females.

Love this thread.
Here is my addition, CTENOCHAETUS STRIATUS
Orange stripe bristletooth tang.
Blueish green color with orange stripes.
First pic is mine, the second is from online somewhere.

The fish themselves may not be rare, but I have seven different species of wrasses coexisting peacefully in a 120g. That's got to be rare!
