I got them from a company called RCT. They have never picked on any of my corals. They are truly reef safe. Here is their website: http://www.rcthawaii.com/
thats awesome that you got the emperor to change coloration! i heard it is very hit or miss when you get them juvi, that they will go through the entire change.
Not the best picture, but these two guys don't quarrel too much with each other in my 180:
I'm kind of breaking the rules with these guys, since I've been keeping them in a open-topped aquarium, with semi-aggresive tankmates(Emperor Angel and 2 tangs).
I gotta give props to Mark and maximus for having prs of rare fish. Maybe these guys will be posting about their rare fish spwaning in the future. I have watched mark's helfrichs swim for hours and I never got over it. Maximus, do you know that a full grown interruptus can get over 5 inches? do you see any signs of sexual dichromatism yet?
Coralite,
Yes, I see definite signs of differences between the sexes. The male now has stripes on his fins and is more colorful. The female does not have the stripes and probably will not develop them. She is a little less blue. Here's a pic of the male. You can notice his stripes. Yes, I am aware that Interruptus are one of the larger dwarf angels. When I received them from RCT, they were probably around 3/4"-1" long. I've had them for over a year now, and they have tripled in size.
