RAREst fish in your sps tank

<sigh> I had my dream fish (in my avatar) until the gf decided to mix a random bunch of carpet cleaners by the tank (stunk up the whole room like ammonia and killed off a bunch of SPS, most of my Xenia, in addition to my Venusta angel in about 12 hours). Somewhat rare, and even moreso since he ate out of my hand and was the most out there and active Venusta I've ever run across. I haven't had the heart to get another since...

Not VERY rare..but my Onyx clowns are the rarest fish in my tank..

Centropyge Interruptus...man, I'd love to have a pair of those.

I haven't moved beyond the $300 fish barrier yet. But it's only a matter of time.

This hobby is like crack cocaine...

This hobby is like crack cocaine...

My local buddies and I often make comparisons of this hobby to that of a crack cocaine habit... we've agreed that a crack habit is cheaper, more relaxing, and aggravates your wife or girlfriend less...

Nothing too rare here... but I do have the second rarest Zebrasoma sp.(behind the gem... nice!)... my Black tang... also shown is a powder blue/powder grey Acanthurus hybrid... a trio of regal angels... some Bimaculatus anthias from Tonga... and a pair of Chrysurus angels from Kenya... a couple shots... I need to take new ones...

Under actinics with flash...

And... on the subject of RCT, I don't own any of his fish yet, but I met with Frank at his facility and house in Hawaii and I've been raving about this guy since... what a pioneer and inspiration... what a life too... breeding super rare angels living in Hawaii with a house overlooking Diamondhead... (as I write from my cubicle...:sad1: ) Did you ever think of what you'd do with your life if you hit a couple hundred mil in the lottery... this would be pretty close to it!

I have a few rare ones in the tank right now....

first up is my Centropyge Interruptus (this is a favorite of everyone who comes over, even if they are not in the hobby...)

next is my newest angel, my Centropyge Joculator, this is a little guy that is supposed to be the hardiest of the angels in the Centropyge genius... sorry for the bad pics, this guy moves real quick...

I just got a Mitratus butterfly last week that i will take a pic of when i get home...

So far these 3 fish have been model citizens, not picking on any of my SPS (knock on wood that it doesnt happen, haha)...

Any idea what kind of wrasse this is? I have the same one and still haven't been able to identify it correctly.

I dont know fi anyone answered this yet (I havent read through the whole thing, sorry) but its a Lubboks.

Apparantly It was ID'd like 9 times on the next page. Sorry.

My Fish, kind of uncommon, not real rare though.

Halichoerus Iridis (radiant wrasse)
Cirrihablus Exuisitus
Centrogype Potteri (He eats flake :))

I guess the combo is...:D Thanks!

Nick (nbd13) Holy all things Holy! You've come a long way since we spoke over the phone! How in the heck do you get a $1200 joculator and an $800 interuptus at your age!? I'm only 28 and remember you being much younger... Congratulations... I am jealous!:D

Again congrats... and God Bless your future wife... :D If I weren't married I'd have a collection like Frank's... except they wouldn't be breeding and I'd be well in debt:D ...

Incidentally, I'd hold out for a bit as you'll be interested in what Frank's got cooking!

copps- look at NBD13s current tank, lol impressive for a student... and to have a Joculator is also impressive, I was going to order one of those once till I heard that they rarely survive, theres only one place to get those and from what I have heard and speaking to the guy that catches them down their the success ratio on the Joc's are not that impressive.. they just dont get decompressed good enough.
