Hey James,

I will try and get updated pics soon of all my "rare" fish in there :). There have been some new additions since I last posted.

tick, tock.... tick, tock...

naka, love that joculator. That has to be my favorite fish right now. Its the perfect size, reef safe, & its beautiful.. especially in person. The joc reminds me of those japanese animations.. dont know why.. maybe its the nice pretty big eyes.

Great stuff.

Great stuff.

For me at this point the rarest is this. WT ANGEL

Signas guttatus

Nice fishes everyone, keep'em coming

I thought that was a punctatus. Punctatus and guttatus look extremely similar.

Hey Tacocat,

I believe that it is S. punctatus, but wayne stated that he thought it was S. guttatus. They are very similar the difference being that S.guttatus has a gold saddle just before the base of his tail where punctatus does not.

My rarest is a 3 inch Mystery Wrasse that is starting to change from a pinkish body to light purple. Not too rare here but sure is in my neighbourhood.

Excellent fish all!

Excellent bump for an excellent old thread...

Here's some of mine...

Centropyge resplendens

Centropyge multifasciatus I've had for a few years... will pair him up when he goes in his new system...

Apolemichthys arcuatus... April will be one year with this guy...

Mated pair Centropyge colini

A standard lemon peel, but what makes him special is that he's one of only about a dozen captive bred individuals...

Male Centropyge interruptus... this guy is the retired breeder and father of all captive bred interruptus ever produced from Frank at rcthawaii.com

Older shot of my large display showing a pair of Pomacanthus chrysurus angels from Kenya and a trio of Red Sea regal angels I've had for a couple of year together...

Deepwater red stripe anthias- Pseudanthias fasciatus...

My two Zebrasoma rostratum black tangs... a larger one I've grown for years and a small guy I got in December...

My powder blue/ goldrim hybrid, with my now not so rare tomini tang I got years ago...

My jewel tang... Acanthurus guttatus, grazer of my large frag system...

My yellow variant Zebrasoma scopas... the brightest I've seen so I jumped on him...

Not too rare, but this is my group of Apogon leptacanthus cardinals...

Rare doesn't always mean expensive... this is a good shot of my pair of pyramid butterflies... Hemitaurichthys polylepis... a reef safe genus of planktivores...

Will post more soon... I've never compiled such a list in one location! :)

Copps, Amazing collection.

Quick question, how do you know this is a hybrid?

PB_goldrim_hybrid.jpg

Also, did you buy the pairs as pairs or did that occur in your system?

The tang is a naturally occurring hybrid that is not too uncommon... You could see the traits from both of the parent species... I've seen many of these in the past, and each is an individual with slightly different percentages of traits from each parent it seems...

The resplendens came paired with a C. fisheri and together were parents of the "Hawaiian resplendant angel" created by Frank Baensch of RCT in Hawaii who I've been friends with for a few years...

The Colin's also came paired from him and were the first pair ever successfully spawned in captivity... The rest of the fish in pairs I've attempted to create by purchasing separate specimens...
