Recommendations Needed

I've recently setup a 225 gallon tank that will eventually be a reef...live rock and fish for the moment, as I wait for conditions to stabilize before adding the corals.

The tank itself is 72l x 24d x 30h, has an overflow box centered on the back wall, return pipes for the main circulation pump in the left and right upper corners of the back wall and a closed-loop system which draws water from the lower right rear corner and returns it via a spraybar behind the base of the rocks. My gallery has a couple of photos posted, if it helps to have a visual reference.

While I have pretty good circulation overall with a Gen-X 70 and a Gen-X 40 as the main and spraybar pumps, what I lack is randomness of water movement. So, I'm looking for recommendations as to an appropriate setup to achieve the desired randomized water movement.

My goal is to put a minimum of pumps, etc. inside the tanks so as not to "ruin" the view. However, I realize that to achieve the effect I want, there aren't too many options, so...

My initial thought would be to put a single 6000 roughly centered on the far right wall of the tank and use the 7091 controller to generate waves of varying intensity. I'd also pick up the photocell to engage the night mode.

So the question is whether or not this is the ideal configuration for my system. If not, what would be...bearing in mind of course my strong desire to keep mechanical clutter out of the environment to the greatest extent possible.

Thanks

To get any real randomness you will have to have 2 pumps, one will help but it isn't like having 2 so you can switch flow directions. Get 2 6000 and a 7095 for soft corals and LPS for SPS get 2 6100.

Thanks Roger.

I eventually will want to have some SPS, so what would be the best placement in the tank for the 2 pumps?

Roger, I'd love to put them in the rear corners, but how would you mount them in the corner so they point towards the front center of the tank? In all the product images I see, they're mounted perpendicular to the wall of the tank.

If it were your typical powerhead, I'd expect to rotate the nozzle 45 degrees, but the Tunze Stream doesn't appear to be designed that way.

Does Tunze make a corner magnetic mount? That would be ideal for me.

Thanks again.
