Red Algae on LS

phosphates? as stated above, overfeeding, lack of flow, using tap water, etc., can all lead to this problem.

I am only feeding once a day, as for water flow it seems I have plenty of water flow. I have tried to syphon it out too, but doesnt get sucked through the tube. Is there another way to get rid of this stuff.

Are you using ro/di water? Are you running a phosphate remover? If there isnt a TON in there, you can try using a red slime remover that you can purchase at a LFS. BUT If you have too much, it will cause a lot of die off, and can nuke your tank. When you use something like that, you have to syphon as much out as you can, so get a wider tube than just airline.

you can go out and buy some stuff from your lfs that rids it...i've never used it, but i'm sure someone on here knows the name. but, what me and cowboyswife are trying to do is find the source of the problem.
