RED maxima clams???

although i have yet to set up a clam tank, i have been researching it for about a year and i swear at one point on some website i saw a pic of a red mantled clam. i have not been able to find one since. are they out there and is red a rare color for a clam? thanks in advance

Darren at palmettoreefs.com had some a looooong time ago that were very nice. They do exist but i've heard of even fewer of them than teardrops.

i'm not sure of a red mantle, but manderx in the thread of clam pictures (first page) has a reddish looking teardrop. very sweet.
