Just got back from all day helping with RAP setup and I think it is looking to be the best ever!

Can you give me the info on where it is being held? I was going to these back when they were in people's backyards LOL

It is held at the Anaheim Marriott located next to the convention center. If you tell them your coming for RAP parking is $10 at the Marriott.

Better venue than last year. Too bad the RAP organizers got duped by the hotel about $10 parking. Did any even get to park for $10?

after being rejected by the Mariott parking guys and redirected to the Hilton, drove around the block and parked on the street for free on orangewood and s. mallui

First it was physically larger with I believe 12 more venders than last year. The quality of displays, items on display and sale, corals, overall set up, and organisation was the best yet in my opinion. I have been to every RAP since they were first held in Mark's backyard them in then the parking lot at Marine Depot. The first few events had no real signs and make shift display tanks without lighting if I remember correctly. Then banners on PBC frames and nicer displays with lights started to appear. Each year the show improved on the year before as SCMAS learned, venues got bigger and better and the vendors improved their displasys. Now the show is a very professional one put on by all volunteers, primarly SCMAS members. I am a broud to say I am a lonk time member / volunteer and I truly believe SCMAS and all the volunteers deserve a pat on the back for what they have done to improve the hobby for all of us. I would also like to thank all the vendors that have participated in making Reef-A-Palooza such a great show. Last but not least I would like to thank all the hobbyists that have attended RAP and hope to see you again tommorow and for many years to come!

I heard from someone that all the corals were expensive and not to many good deals on things. I opted not to go this year because I wasnโ€™t overly impressed at last years event. The last one I went to in Costa Mesa I thought was fat better and you could actually find some killer deals that year

coral price is subjective u can find oregon tort for $40 fox flame for $70 so it's depend on what piece you are looking for. Reef Palooza is not a regular frag swap anymore the amount of vendors and sponsor are growing every year. You have the owner of Aqua Forest chatting with you on the floor also the owner of coral vue and others. The cheap frags like 10$ nobody look at them anymore

High end limited edition corals are going to be expensive anywhere you go. The selection is probably the best your going to find anywhere. I saw lots of corals priced at $25 and under today and picked up a few. I do not even look at tiny frags or much over $20 or larger corals over $70. It just does not make sense to me. There are plenty of nice corals at RAP for less. For example you you can buy a single zoe for $5 to over $100 or you can get a rpck the size of your hand covered in zoas for $45. Personally I would rather have a rock covered in zoas looks nuch better in my tank than a single $200 zoa. So want if they do not have a fancy name. Rock covered in zoas looks It is your choice. If I want it bad something enough I can probably get it for less next year when more people are selling frags of they paid big dollars for. Clearly I am in the manorty as a lot of vendors sold a lot of corals today. If your looking for bargin corals Sunday afternoon is the time to come. However if your looking for a specific coral they may be sold out by then.
The high priced of corals are everywhere not just RAP.
