i need some assistance in starting a reef club and website for us in the southbay monterey county to be exact. ive already started a reef club forum here on rc but rarely does anybody post:( im tired of traveling outside of the area just to see, trade, buy corals, frags, etc. please, i know somebody out there can help get this going as im the only reefer here i think that would like to converse, trade, sell, buy corals, frags, etc. and just to share the comraderie that these other wonderful reef club people have in their city's! taking a look at their tank's and comparing progress on corals, vice/versa. different people to sit down and enjoy the hobby with and sip on some hot java and gazing into our reefs in accordance:D to compare note's on husbandry. thanx to all who can and is willing to help me in this endeavor.

Hey Carlos,
I wish I could dedicate more time to trading & enjoying the company of like minded hobbist. However, I've been busy of late with work and my wife has a baby due soon. Keep me informed with your effort to get a club started. Have you thought about discussing this with the owner of lfs in Marina? Oh, that remind me, any news on the reef-store that was going to open in Salinas?

I just wanted to let you know that the corals you sold me and gave me look great. The Frogspawn is a great centepiece for a 20 g tank. I will try to catch up with you some in the future.

Sounds good to me

Meetup.com might work to get more people involved. There is a cost involved, but if we can get a few people and kick in a couple of dollars each we could cover that.

I know there are lots of people in the hobby, but no real organization.
