.wonder if they will custom build one to my specs? YES He will custom build skimmers to customer orders. We talked a bit on things I wanted in a skimmer
compared to the old euro u have does that new monster skim considerably better? The Euroreef was a very good skimmer. The Reefmania skimmer is a very good skimmer. A similar sized EuroReef would cost over $ 600 more, the model I am thinking of RC750, cost $1800. Since they use similar tech(Needlewheel, venturi, acrylic body, recirculating), it's really about price. And there I like the Reefmania more. It pulls out so much stuff. It is hard to compare though. The ER had 2 x Sedra 5000. The Reemania has 3 x Sedra 9000. The extra pump and the larger sized pumps really move a lot of water and air. I wouldn't go back to ER if that's what you want to know. I've had the ER 6-3, 8-2 and 12-1 models. All good strong skimmers. For a 250 gallon or smaller tank, I'd strongly recomend his 2 x Sedra 5000, 8" diameter skimmers. If you needed to go big and want a 12" diameter, then maybe the 12-2 with only 2 x Sedra 9000. It's all you'd ever need, super good at pulling out stuff. It's nice for me to have all this power but it's not needed. As far as the wet neck goes, do a search here on RC. There are a few threads floating around that tell about them. They are nice but don't make all that much of a differance. I am still trying to figure mine out so don't put to much weight on my opinion of the wetneck.
