I dont think any of the filefish are reef safe. Beautiful fish tho..... scribbled files also get huge.

Just by looking at the shape of the mouth and jaw I would say No.

it would seem to me that they eat meaty foods more then hard corals because im planin to do mainly sps and i dont know if i would see a prob with that because they have bigger mouth rather than small mouth for coral eating so i wonderin if anyone had any experience with one because there is one where i work and i want it

If you really want to get put in quartine with some monitpora thank you don't really care about and see how it goes then at least you don't half to worry about it doing a lot of damang if it does go crazy

I had a tassled File fish in a 90 for a while with some softies. He at like a horse and grew like a weed.

But, he had a nice personalty ... the 90 was too small so I moved him to a larger tank ...

He still eats like a horse...(meaty foods 2-3 x)
