Reef tank with or without drilled holes?

The height of my 135 acrylic is getting to my back, so I am looking for shorter tank and considering 75 or 125 (with shorter stand). I am a little parnoid of sumps/hoses.

I have not used the drip filter that my current tank came with after I got frustrated the correct water flow/level and reading threads about problems with bio-balls. So the big question for you experts is am I making a big mistake by now getting a reef ready tank?

On my aquarium---either Oceanic or All Glass---I was so tired when it arrived and set up I actually forgot which---there is a huge flange fitting on the drilled hole that will make that about the last thing that will leak. Look underneath before you buy and reassure yourself. Also, don't get c-clamps [the things that hold on your auto hoses] that will rust: stainless or plastic will make sure the return hose and its ilk never give way. I had far more leaks and spills from a hang-on than I ever will from this one.

Those links answered most of my questions thank you very much.
I think I will go with reef ready. Just need to choose tank and decide on the kind of sump.
Thanks again.
Sandy
