I hope you really don't do that. Don't you think that's a little rough on the one fish?
U r 100% right!
I have upwards of 10 wrasses and decided to get this one in particular agaisnt my better judgement b/c about 2 months ago saw somw nudis on one of my danae(that colony lives in the lake permanently)
Anyways while I do agree the practice may not be the best I need some sort of peace of mind when it comes to saving some of my montis that are permanently encrusted on the rock, I don't want to have a monti less tank.

But I do agree!

I went Saturday and bought a "cnadycane hogfish." It wasn't from the African shipment. Katie said it had been in the store for about 4 weeks, came in from Bali. It's a really bright yellow and orange. I've never seen one before. Here are some pics.

FWIW, they do have the wrasses in a display with sand. There were a few of them burrowed in the sand (you could see them agaiinst the glass).

Hi,

By any chance do you remember the price on the Blue Hippo Tangs and also the Red Coris Wrasses?

Thanks in advance for your help.

My Radiant pops up for about 10 min every morning for the last 2 days then jumps right back into the sand. But I also bought a xmass about 3 weeks ago and now he is out everyday!Good to see him alive I thought he was dead.

I had one of those african flamebacks, model citizen. Didn't bother clams, corals, or shrimp. Beautiful fish, too... they have an irridescent blue stripe on their anal fin that flouresces when the light hits em just right. He ate everything given, and was one of the first fish sold when I broke down the tank. I seem to remember paying under 25 bucks for him.

I bought a radiant wrasse from then about 3 months ago. It is always out swimming. He is wonderful.
rub it in lol
So i guess i shouldnt worry too much, ill just wait, hopefully he's eating something under there

I would just llke to say that Reef's Edge is a great store and I would suggest checking it out, however, if buying coral beware. I have bought 4 frags there and only one was okay. I bought two zoa colonies, both were infected w/ Asterina starfish. I also bought a sps and it was covered w/ flatworms. The only piece I have lost is one of the zoa frags, it was completely consumed before I realized what the problem was. Just check before you add to you tank.

Guys a got two and have not seen it once yet.
After a week or so I'd worry.

I picked up a Red Christmas Wrasse a few weeks ago. Didn't see him for almost a week, so I dug around in the sand and out he popped.

Now he comes out as soon as the actinics come on in the morning, eats, hangs out for a little while, then hides back in the sand. I picked up some small live feeders and some brine shrimp. He goes after both, this morning ate 2 feeders, then gobbled up some PE Mysis.
