I made some changes. I was bored and disengaged. It wasn't fair to my inhabitants (or my wife - she hated the coralline on the glass and I didn't care to scrape it anymore). So, after almost 20 years of reefing, I've gone back to a FW planted tank. It has been good for me...

Dang, a few years ago this sub-forum could easily get a couple hundred posts per day. Somehow I am still at the top of the list with a post from a week ago.

Can anyone help me understand why nobody has shown interest in the LED setup described below? Has the consumer side of the market turned to something else? Maybe the push towards prepackaged systems has killed the custom system approach?

Custom LED Array - CREE setup. Tested at over 1000 PAR under water surface. Steal it for $350 (parts were 3x this much). Dimmable ballasts.
