Relocating back to Cleveland/Akron and need some storage advice

I'll be relocating back to the Cleveland/Akron area and I was hoping someone could tell me any LFS that does a good job holding fish. I was hoping to store them for a month or 2 or at least until we find a house and I can set the tank back up. The hard part is that I have quite a few fish in my 300 and some are very delicate. The vast majority are remarkably hardy but there's a couple I would worry about. (breeding pair of A. Nigripes).


Any suggestions?

I didn't know that any LFS was willing to take on that liability and or even offer that kind of service.

Good Luck on your move, but I'd think you would need to make your own arrangements at your new digs.

As in a simple sump system with a skimmer in it, with live rock to house everything until you can get the actual setup put back up. Something like the black rubbermaid's from Tractor Supply.
That would be the direction I'd be heading, plus the movers could most likely get the old setup moved into the new house and you could level and get things back together after you unpack.

Thanks for the response, but I've done that before and won't do it again. lesson learned.

Part B to the equation that I didn't mention is that I have to start my new position at the end of the month but the rest of my family won't be relocating until 3-4 weeks later and I really don't want to leave my wife with both kids the dog and the fish tank.

You may want to try Aquatic Technology in Columbia Station. He held a tang for me when it had ich and cleared it up as he uses copper in his tanks. He will charge you though. And I'm not sure if he will hold all those fish but I would try.

yeah Greg at Aquatic probably would for $$$ if he has the room but doubt he would be able to gaurantee them to be ok long term.

Why not bring the fish, rock, and skimmer to ohio and set up rubbermaids? seems like your best bet.

I have a 4' 65 gal set up that you could use while you are setting up the 300. Tank, stand,lights, skimmer and sump just add your water,fish and rock. The stand is the sump and could hold fish and rock

Welcome back and good luck. Moving a tank is a bear. esp one that has been up for a while. Sounds like this is not your first time at this so you know what to think about.
