I bought this tank today from smoney and got to work restoring it. Lotsa scratches and foggy acrylic. My technique was to use 1500 grit wet sandpaper on an orbital sander (cheap Craftsman model for $30 at OSH). I sanded the **** out of it and removed the major scratches. I sanded the entire front and sides, inside and out. Following that, I hand buffed it with Novus 2 to restore the clarity then cleaned it with Novus 1. It took a total of about 5 hours to do the three viewing sides, and though some of the deeper nicks remain, it looks so much better.

Thanks for the tips! I'll post a pic tomorrow.
