Removing Green star polyps from LR?

Hello all,

I'm in the middle of Re-aquascaping my tank and I have a green star polyp that has grown and encrusting 3 small pieces of LR.
What would be the best method to pry it off so I can relocate it?
Can I just cut it in 3 different places so I would end up with 3 frags?
Thanks

Either cut it and make 3 or just peel the purple mat off and glue it back down where you want. Easy as pie!

I didn't know it could just peel off.. I will try that first since I would like to keep it in one piece. If not I will cut it.
Thanks

If you dont want to worry about attaching them later I would just cut between the rocks and make three.

I would get rid of the darn things :) atleast seperate them from everything else. They grow like there is no tomorrow and kill any coral they touch. Once they spread on to other rocks it is almost impossible to keep them under control. Trust me, I have experienced it first hand, they are all cute and very colorful, but when they get out of hand, your only hope is to trade the rock in for a fresh, star polyp free rock.
