Replacing florescent lights with PC lights

I have a 60Gal. tank which has a Coral Life Actinic and a 10,000k daylight florescent tubes. I want to upgrade to power compact lighting. I want to star off with some shrooms and polyps. The only lighting that I cna put under my canopy are 36" tetrofits. Will I be fine with getting a 36" PC with an Actinic and 10,000K thats 96W(192w total)? Or do I need 2 sets of these lights?

When it comes to PCs and MHs I've had both. PCs will suffice but you will be limited as to what you keep and in my experience I was unable to get good growth in the lower half of my tank...it's 24-inches deep. I did have good results with zoanthids though, for some reason which I don't know, my mushrooms did very poorly under PCs and dramatically improved after I changed to MHs. When I had PCs I had just about 520 watts on a 120 gallon tank. I wouldn't rag the PCs but I agree that, if you can, go to MHs. My results with them were very good and I'm very happy that I changed to them.

another option is T5 HO lighting alot of ppl have had great luck with them keeping whatever they want. just be sure to get good reflectors or the T5's are just as good as pc's
