ricordea in net bag

I saw a picture of a ridordea in a mesh bag. I figure this is to protect it from fish nipping at it. Does anyone know why it would be a good idea to do this,.

It may have not attached to the rock yet. Often times, people will put the mushroom in a container or cover in mesh while they are waiting for the mushroom to attach to a rock. This way, the mushroom cant float away.

If it was a darker mesh, it may have been for acclimating to new lighting?

You'll see various things from net bag to a cut PVC tubes...or soda bottle, you name it.

I just had to use a mesh net to hold a yellow ricordea Florida to the rock so it would attach...
