Dont know how often this happends, but my LFS once told me that witnessing a Ricordia eat was a very rare sighting. Well i have news.. my Ric was lucky enough to have a fairly large clunk of frozen Mysis land on his mouth, and low and behold his usually very small mouth was able to stretch about 1/4 inch while unglufing the shrimps, my hermit even tried to steel some by actually reaching into this gapping mouth he managed to get a small piece but the Florida Ric was able to injest the rest in a matter minutes.....
I have some pics but they are horrible, will post them this weekend

Just thought i'd share that story... very facinating for a newby
Has anyone ever witnessed this??

how do you get it to there mouths, tweezers?
You do not have to place it directly on the mouth, use the tweezers to place the small piece anywhere on the ricordea and it will fold over and direct it to it's mouth.

You definetely cann;t do that with fishes in the tnak.

It takes strawberries, imagination and ingenuity!

I feed my ricordea PE mysis all the time. They will definitely eat them, even my small ricordeas can take almost a whole mysis. I just thaw a little and pick out the whole ones and gently lay them on the ric.

My lieutenant and orange shoulder tangs go crazy and flick their tails at them dislodging some of the shrimp but the shrooms still get a few to eat.
