RO buddy now has to much flow??

I have an Ro buddy 50 gallons per day model and it's been working great for 4 1/2 months .I just replaced the membrane and the DI cartridge and now it's cranking 5 gallons an hour when it should be more like two is what it always did I'm totally baffled as to why I've checked everything 10 times what's going on any ideas? I'm worried that it's not performing correctly and not filtering

Get a Handheld tds meter to test the water, they are cheap. I would suggest a HW digital or Hanna.

The membrane needs to be run for a bit before it will preform correctly?

Did you buy the right GPH filter?

Maybe it was installed wrong?

Did you buy a good R/O filter from a trusted source?

Possible now it is doing the right amount and it didn't before?

Really need to test the water coming out of the R/O filter to know?

The membrane and the di filter are the same ones as before . Is it possible I need to replace the carbon and sediment filter ? Could that cause it ?

My guess is your flow restrictor could have an issue. I would try to replace it if everything else was replaced
Make sure its fir 50gpd

If they need to be replaced the unit should be producing less not more. As prefilters clog they reduce the pressure to the membrane...

You said you are producing more water than you feel it should right?

It could be the flow restrictor as mentioned above but I have never had a issue with a flow restrictor.

Yes more water coming out of waste and filtered line . It’s so crazy I can’t figure it out ? I have had this unit before and know how to use it . I replaced the membrane and the di filter because it’s been 6 months of my son and I using it for our smaller tanks and had some algae issues and as maintance figures time to replace . Don’t know how flow is so much faster now . Was doing 2 gallons and hour now 4 and waste water coming out faster and the sink isn’t even turned up as much as before.

Your filters, all of them, are probably toast.
Without a tds meter, you'll have no idea what's going on.
