Where abouts are you going to be?
Weve got 3 that ive been to.
ABC
84 high st
Fairport NY
Caribbean Forest
Just off culver rd
The Reef Shop
East Ridge Road
All are great. ABC and Caribbean Forest have a wide variety of Fish, corals and hard goods. ABC has freshwater as well. The Reef Shop I find to be more expensive, has fresh and saltwater But few hard goods.
CF and The Reef Shop are only a few miles apart in I guess what id consider the outter irondequoit area.
Dont have the addresses for the other 2 but a quick google search and they will come up.

Speaking saltwater(because im not to sure about their freshwater selections, never look at that stuff)
CF (caribbean forest) has the best selection of inverts, RS (reef shoppe) has the best selection of high end corals and colonies, and ABC has the best frag selection. They all have your typical fish. Although CF has had a great selection lately of fish!
They all have their pros and cons. If you have time i would hit them all up. CF and RS are only about three mins apart so if your going to go to one of them id go to both. RS is closed only mondays and CF is closed only tuesdays so if your going to go, dont go either of them days so you can go to both!!
Id go wednesday because they will both be open and have gotten in recent shipments.

Marine Oasis is also a bit west of Rochester, but if your family is in the Western suburbs, it wouldn't hurt to swing by there too.
