Rock anemone opens its mouth

Is it normal for it opens its mouth whole day?
I tried to feed a food pellet to it and it had no response. the pellet just fell off from the disc.

Mine has been distending its mouth lately as well, especially at feeding time. No idea why this behavior recently started.

I'm not sure why they do it but the ricordea I have randomly do it. The fact that food doesn't 'stick' to your anemone is the actual troubling sign. The food would adhere to a healthy nem. How long have you had it?

It's not normal for its mouth to be open all the time; it's a sign it is distressed. I would not try to feed it now.
