Roger,

Thanks a bunch for the 6200 Screen PVC Prototype. As you can see from the picture below, the 6200 Screen PVC Prototype has an interior diameter of 53 mm vs. the interior diameter of 46 mm for the 6080 screen. I'm assuming the interior diameter of the production 6200 screen will be larger since the material used for the circular output of the screen will be made with a thinner material than the thick PVC used in the prototype. Even with the prototype, I'm getting a broader flow out of my 6080.

As you can see by the recent picture of my tank, my corals have been growing very well and much of that success I'll have to attribute to the great water circulation provided by the Streams.

must have these screens!!!!! no wait must have the whole 6200 thing. when will the 6200 sreens ready for sale? i want two eric

Roger,

I take it the 6200 streams will be available in a few weeks. But when will the housing by itself be available?..I want two of these. If it all works out i might even upgrade my transformers.

Thanks.

You cannot upgrade a 6100 to a 6200- you will fry it, the computer is different so please don't try this, it also has a bigger prop. The screens will likely start to show up in a couple months.

Roger,

You misunderstood me. The transformer upgrade im thinking about would be for the 6100, not the 6200. All i want is the bigger screen. I am fully aware that only the 6000 and 6100 are upgradable/downgradable with each other.

Where would i go to purchase the 6200 screens?

Thanks.

Oh sorry, when they are available you could order them direct from me or any of our dealers.

so a couple of weeks for 6200 screens? How much would it disperse the flow of a 6100 over base Roger?

A couple weeks for the whole pump- usually spare parts start coming in a month after the product does, I actually don't even have a spare parts list for the 6200 yet. The flow from a 6100 would likely be a 4-5ft by 30" jet- but I haven't tried it.

Question Roger, I've been reading how how you suggest to focus the stream units to get the most benefit out of them. Does the magnet holder allow you to pivot the stream unit so that you are able to adjust what angle off the surface you're looking to direct the stream? Or is it just locked into a 90 degree angle from the surface that the magnet attaches to?

It is the same as the current holder in that regard, the magnet holder is actually designd to work with all of our products- I suspect it would be a bad idea with the osmolator but outside of that it will hold anything. You just slide the clip that comes with the Stream on it and you can pivot the pump the same range you could with the included mount.

Very good. Thanks for the info. I didn't know you could pivot the stream at all. I thought the mount was a fixed mount that didn't allow it any range outside of a fixed 90 degree angle from the mount point. And the 6200's will be available soon and will be able to use the same magnetic mount?

Yes, if you are planning to do a sharp angle though it may take the big one on a 1/2" pane. For a 3/4" pane it may be an issue at a sharp angle, I am not sure on that.
