how odd does this sound? ive had my 55g in my bed room sence oct 05 i had 2 put it there because we were getting ready 2 put hard wood in the living room, then we wouldnt have to move it twice, so the floors in now we have furniture coming they say 4 to 6 weeks, its been 4 my 75g is sitting ready, i have no fish to catch no plumbing just skimmer, clean up crew & 2 shrimp. shouldnt be that hard to move, but with out my theater seating im waiting on i dont no how much wall i will have for my tank. so why cant i go to home depot & buy 4 of those small dolly wheels that you would put under each corner of a refridgarator to move it & sence my 75 is empty i coule screw them on make the up grade from my 55 put it in the living room now & when my furniture comes in i cane just take a little water out & roll it where i want to. tell me how stupid that is, my husband did. or you can be on my side.

I think putting that much wieght on 4 little casters is dangerous. One could fail, toppling the tank. It would also be hard to level the tank if it is on casters. Also, all that wieght placed on only 4 points, the casters might break through the wood floor. I wouldn't do it.

Mostly there'd be a lot of slosh as you start to move or as you stop, and damping it (pardon pun) could be difficult. If you can take the water involved way, way down during transit and move fast (most things can endure a few minutes out of water). But then you've got to get it OFF the dollies, and that is a real iffy moment. I'd have at least three strong guys lifting and two more to move the dollies clear. it might be doable: put the water into big Rubbermaids and be prepared to pump like crazy getting the specimens rehydrated. Big flat rock ought to protect your sandbed from overturn during rewatering. paint bugs words to a. t. like i was telling him my husband said when it comes to my tank i have blinders on like a mule. i only see what in front of me i dont think. ok just a thought.

Oh yeah, would be easy to tip too. Even if you were to just lean on it, it could fall. That wouldn't only be bad for your tank, livestock and floors, it might fall on someone, causing serious injury.

but i wasnt going to take the wheels off and the sand would be new its a up grade I dont have a sump or any thing, i new it sounded to crazey to be true, i guess ill wait on my furniture.
