I purchase a single Red Mushroom polyp last sunday. It has been all shriveled up ever since. I have about 1000 gph in my cube, and i have it under a bridge of rock surrounded so it wont be blasted by flow.

I have read that if i take it out and set it in a gladware dish it will recover? I just want to make sure it hasn't died.

My water parameters are perfect by the way. zero am, tri, tra and 8.2 ph. temp is 79.5

Looks like from your sig the tank is under a month old.......

Whats your water source? Lighting? What are the rest of your parameters?

Was the shroom shipped? did you see it before you bought it? Is it wild? any and all info will help us help you.

Salinity is 1.026
Tank is a month old, but all sand and rock came from an established tank.

Lighting is quad t-5 HO by coralife. Dual 10k, dual actinic.
No, the shroom was not shipped and it is not wild. I did see it before i bought it and it was a magnificent sight.

The tests i gave you wer all of the test equipment i have.

Everybody knows what a shriveled up mushroom looks like.

Did you dip it in anything before it went in?
Is something maybe bothering it in your tank?

I did not dip it, and i have examined at night time but haven't found anything out of the ordinary.

It is still not opening.
